John Link

I have a B.S. degree in physics, with about 36 years’ experience in physics-related jobs, particularly in optics.  My current job is in the medical diagnostics field, in a PhD position, which I have had for 28 years.  My specialty is optical physics (I know how to train photons!), but I also have a lot of experience in programming computers and other non-physics disciplines, especially meteorology and astronomy.  I have done optical design in wavelengths from ultraviolet to infrared, worked with and made holograms, robotics, done electronic trouble-shooting, I am an SEM, XPS, and AFM jockey, and I have worked with liquid crystals, just to name a few of the things I have experience with.

For Providence Tutorials I have tutored Physics five times, Physical Science three times, and Earth Science twice, and I did a Minitutorial about automobile driving.
